Pagham batted first on a superb wicket but still managed to lose their first 5 wickets with only 81 on the board. At this point Rico Webb decided attack was the best way forward scoring 83 in 51 balls including 6 sixes and 8 4s. With a good supporting role of 56 from Skipper Staurt Hanks Pagham ended on 229 all out. Don Mugford 5 for 35 was the pick of the Stirlands bowlers. In reply Stirlands couldn’t come to terms with the pace of Rico Webb 3 for 38, the accuracy of Justin Scott 3 for 49 and the guile of Nikki Tabberer 3 for 20 which saw Stirlands end up 159 all out, 70 runs short of their target. This was Paghams fourth win in a row and left them rueing their indifferent start to the season.
